MusicaLliure.cat has as the goal of spread the free music in Catalan to as many people as possible. We believe that the music, as a fundamental component of the culture that represents, has to be free. The campaign MusicaLliure.cat Internacionalista wants to open the music in Catalan to all the world with one of our goals in mind: the diffusion of the Catalan music.

How to download music

This image is a part of the main page of MusicaLliure.cat. In the encircled piece there is the text “Download MP3s”. If you click on it, you will land in the main index of labels.
In this index of labels you will find the classification of all the songs of MusicaLliure.cat. You can click on the label that you prefer. Beside each label there is a number that indicates the how many pieces have been marked with that denomination. Their popularity is directly related with it their size. In this case, we will choose Rock.
Here you will find a list of all the songs classified with the label that you have chosen. You will find useful diverse information about the piece: The title, the author, the duration, the license, an on-line player and the downloading link. Clicking on this one (marked in the following image) you can get the song.
Another way to access the songs is using the left menu through the classification for artists.
When you click you get a list of the artists there are in MusicaLliure.cat. If we want to see the records of an artist (in this case we will choose Orxata Sound System), we can click in it’s name.
Next we will see the page of this group in MusicaLliure. There are three sections; Songs, The group and Events.
The section that is shown by default is the biography of the group and an a photo. To access the music you have to click on “Cançons”.
If you click on “Cançons” you will get a list with all the pieces uploaded by the artist and and you can download them by clicking on the button with arrow red.
